Paramedic home loans

Home loans for paramedics and ambulance officers

You are first on scene when it matters. Some lenders reward that: they lend paramedics more, skip lenders mortgage insurance or pay cash back. We search a panel of 75 lenders and tell you who's offering what right now.

How much can a paramedic borrow?

It depends on your pay, your debts and your living costs. Your roster can lift it.

Most lenders count only part of your overtime. Some count all of it, and your allowances, if you are a paramedic or ambulance officer. That can lift how much you can borrow. Send us your last two payslips and we will tell you how much you could borrow.

Can paramedics skip LMI?

You may be able to. Some lenders cover or waive lenders mortgage insurance for paramedics.

LMI is a one-off cost most lenders charge when you borrow more than 80% of the property's value. Some lenders will cover it or waive it for paramedics. Conditions apply, so ask us who's offering it right now.

Buying your first home? The Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme can also mean no LMI with a 5% deposit, whatever your job (price caps apply).

Cash back for paramedics

Some lenders pay emergency workers cash back when you buy or refinance. That can cover your loan costs, and even part of your first repayment. Conditions apply, and offers come and go, so ask us which ones are running right now.

From lenders' own product sheets, policy documents and broker offers we hold, checked 14-10-2026. Offers change and end without notice, and conditions apply. General information only, not credit advice, and it does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs.
