Who we are

Duty First Mortgages Pty Ltd ABN 47 682 598 803 is a veteran-owned mortgage broking business, Queensland-based, lending Australia-wide. We hold Credit Representative Number 564786 and are authorised under Australian Credit Licence 486112, held by Purple Circle Financial Services Pty Ltd. We provide credit assistance: we help you compare, choose and apply for loans, but we are not the lender and we do not approve loans ourselves.

What the full Credit Guide covers

Our Credit Guide and Privacy Disclosure is the formal document we give you before providing credit assistance. It sets out:

  • who we are and the licensee we are authorised under;
  • the credit assistance we provide and our obligations to you, including our best interests duty when helping you with a home loan;
  • how we are paid, including the commissions lenders may pay us;
  • the lenders and lessors we deal with;
  • how we handle your personal information; and
  • what to do if you have a complaint, including your right to free external dispute resolution through AFCA.

How we are paid

Our credit assistance is usually at no direct cost to you. If your loan settles, the lender typically pays us a commission. We disclose commission details to you before you go ahead, and you are welcome to ask us at any time what we would be paid in relation to a loan we recommend. If a fee were ever payable by you, we would tell you and agree it with you in writing before doing the work.

The lenders we work with

Through our aggregator we can access loan products from a panel of more than 60 banks and lenders across Australia. We'll search that panel for options available to you based on your circumstances and requirements.
